Gay Outdoor Club: Skiing Events 2008

Saturday 5 - Monday 14 January. Fancy a cheap ski week in a top resort, then join us in Zermatt. Ian and friends will be there for that period in the Zermatt International Youth Hostel. The hostel is of a very high standard - most rooms are ensuite and the staff are very friendly. Rooms are 2, 3, 4 or 6 bedded. The hostel is conveniently located for lifts and is near the centre. The food is good - there is a sign in the restaurant telling you to eat plenty of breakfast if you are skiing! A four-course evening meal is included. The cost is likely to be about £20-25 per person per night half board. Skiing in Zermatt is superb for all levels and is snowsure. Instruction is excellent. Nightlife great. Plenty to do for non-skiers in this historic town. You can go by rail all the way or catch a flight to Zurich or Geneva and then rail from there to Zermatt (£55 return if booked in advance in the UK). The idea is that we'll be there for that period and you join us for however long you want. You need to make your own travel arrangements and book the hostel.
