Sunday 13 January. Chipping Camden. Meet at Town Hall. Moderate figure-of-eight walk via Broad Campden and Dovers Hill.

February. No walk this month but see Glos group walk in this area on Saturday 16 February.

Sunday 9 March. Northleach. Meet in the market place. A moderate figure-of-eight walk via Hampnett and Farmington. Pub lunch.

Sunday 11 May. Start adjacent to the entrance to Broughton Castle, 3 miles west of Banbury, Oxfordshire. From the B4035 from Banbury, take the unclassified lane to the right of the "Saye and Sele Arms" in Broughton village. Park on grass verge just after Castle entrance. An 8 mile walk through a beautiful rural landscape. (Unsuitable for dogs not on leads.) Picnic lunch in the village of Shutford where a pub is available for drinks.

Sunday 1 June. Joint walk and social with Wilts, Glos and N. Somerset. Meet between Bourton-on-the-Hill (2m) and Snowshill (3m) for a walk in the remote North Cotswolds. Please remember picnic provisions. 'Garden Party' to follow (from about 4pm), usual BBQ element not certain. All friends welcome.

Sunday 13 July. Meet in the centre of the village of Great Rissington (near Bourton on the Water). Meet near the Lamb Inn for a Cotswold walk south to Sherborne and Windrush and back via the Barringtons. Bring picnic. Probable pub stop after lunch. Please park sensitively in the village.

Sunday 10 August. Glos/Warks border. Ascent of Ilmington Down for splendid views, meeting in centre of Mickleton on green triangle outside hotel opposite shop. Picnic provisions needed, though stop will be made on descent at Hidcote for tea/ice creams/etc.

Sunday 14 September. A 7 - 9 mile walk around Bredon Hill with superb views of the Cotswold Ridge, the Malverns and the Welsh mountains. Meet by the church at Overbury. It's a gentle uphill track around the hill and down again passing through villages with pubs at Overbury, Ashton-under-Hill and Conderton. We are also offering tea around 4-5pm at our house and the use of our sauna cabin and steam room for those who like that sort of thing.

Friday 10 - Sunday 12 October. South Midlands in South Wales. Informal chill-out weekend near Ystradfellte. Mobile phone conditions are not good so rendezvous really needs to be pre-arranged. According to the weather and inclinations, walks are envisaged from Dinas Rock on Saturday and from Angel Inn on Sunday. Enquiries, including about possible bunkhouse vacancies, to co-ordinator.

Saturday 8 November. A walk will take place on Saturday or Sunday.


Mostly walking, tending to meet Sundays early in the month, usually in Oxfordshire or the North Cotswolds. Summer socials and BBQ's.
